Our Services

Since the 1950's, Cone Oasis has been hosting short term mission teams. Its central location to Matamoros, Nuevo Progresso and Reynosa, as well as being the mid-point between McAllen and Brownsville, make it an an optimal location for mission teams to base out of. Some work over the border with minstries and churches in Mexico while others assist minsitries and churches here in the Rio Grande Valley. We provide your team with lodging and 3 meals per day prepared by our WONDERFUL kitchen staff at a very reasonable fee.

No matter which of our services you're looking to use, there are several things you can count on. Not only do you get comfortable accommodations at a reasonable fee and great food, but also a safe, secure location for you, your team and your things as well as a peaceful place of sanctuary after a long, hot, tiring day with many cool and inviting areas to sit and relax. Or if you prefer, there are many activities available to run off that excess energy and bond together, such as ping pong, foozball, basketball, baseball, soccer, volley ball and of course our awesome pool! Most important, you get a Christian staff whose calling it is to serve you, who care about what hapened with your outreach that day, know this area and missions and can give you good advice and help with those "unexpected circumstances" that tend to pop up and who are praying for the success of your ministry! MUCH more comfortable, safe and inviting than an impersonal hotel or a hard church floor. Come give us a try and experience the difference Cone Oasis makes!

Are mission teams still coming dispite the violence and problems in Mexico? YES!! And we're pleased to host them! Most teams are chosing to stay on the U.S. side of the border, but we have just as many needs here on THIS side of the river as the other. There are national churches working in the poor colonias here in the valley that need help with VBS, kid's camps, sports camps, building and many other projects. The Valley IS a safe place to be, and Cone Oasis isn't located near the river. We're in the little town of La Feria, TX where life is idealic to say the least. We'd be happy to provide you with information to talk with those who have used us in the recent past and have seen what Cone Oasis can provide. Feel free to call us and ask! We've had to focus more on Valley minsitry now because of the things going on in Mexico, but we MISS our SHORT TERM TEAMS! DON'T CANCEL your trip, just RE-ADJUST it!

This year, Cone Oasis will be going back to it's "roots", hosting several summer kid's camps and several summer youth camps. It's the first time in a long time that we've done this and we're receiving a TREMENDOUS response! Our first week of kid's camp is already almost full and we're looking at adding another week, as is our first week of youth camp. God is blessing greatly. Tiny Dominguez and his team are going to lead our youth camp this year and we're excited to see what God is going to do in the lives of our Valley youth!

Cone Oasis is a great place to hold your next conference or retreat. We have something to fit your group's size and needs. We will work with you on your needs no matter what type of ministry you're planning, be it a ladies retreat, men's conference, couples retreat or family camp, overnight or one day. Make use of our chapel, activity and meeting rooms as well as meals from our great kitchen, pool and comfortable dorms! We also have LOTS of peaceful places for your team members to get away and spend their personal time with God. Make us your full service venue!
